Tent hanging, Mughal, late 17th - early 18th century.

"Decorated cloth panels were used extensively in the interiors of the tents set up for rulers and their courts when they were outside the palaces hunting or campaigning. Several panels would be joined together to form moveable screens (qanats) to provide privacy around the rulers enclosures. Hangings and ‘qanats’ were also used inside palaces for decoration and to divide up large halls."
